Who is Rummble?

Rummble is an award winning mobile technology company which operates the consumer "Rummble" service, a location based discovery tool and social search platform which learns; enabling users to find people and places nearby which they will like.

Rummble has developed algorithms which create and analyse trust networks. This network analysis platform is the foundation of Rummble, enabling users to receive trusted and relevant content easily, online or on mobile, without traditional keyword search. Instead Rummble provides personalised results based upon an individual users trust profile and the content in their extended social network.

Our Cool API

The Rummble API is cool because it gives you access to all of Rummbles functionality to build your own application to serve your own needs. "Rummbles" are any bit of location information, which can also have a ranking attached. The Rummble API not only allows you to query the Rummble database for Rummbles in a specific area, but also ones which will be liked or disliked by a specific user. Most importantly it will allow you to submit your own Rummbles. These might be about one specific subject, or special interest group- You can utilise our location based infrastructure to store your applications location based content and also to find out where other users of your application are.

You also get to take advantage of the integration we've done with other APIs - including Twitter, Facebook, Bebo, Flickr, FireEagle and more.  We've got some ideas about how you can use the Rummble API, but we're pretty sure you've got many more!

Getting Started

By registering now we'll guarantee access to the Beta version of the Rummble API from July 1st 2008. We'll shortly after cap the number of developers registered so we can properly test the API in the wild and give you all the support you deserve. Once we're all happy that version 1.0 of the API is the way we want it, we'll open it up for other new developers; but that might take a few months. Meanwhile, you'll get to use our API for your live application and get a head start on everyone else. The early bird gets the worm!
